|is it possible to round this continent with a boat?
I managed already to sail the green part as well as some month before the yellow line too. It was a nice visiting at Kutze as i bloged here.1st day:
The gangplank around Kumimayo Housemay be a good place to rezz the boat for the begin of the pink-tour-part.
beware: sandbank and no-script http://slurl.com/secondlife/Weever/78/82/21
friendly harbor with rezz place:
WildWind shop outlet http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hake/187/58/21 shopping a AC-J2 designed by corry Kamachi ( http://world.secondlife.com/resident/54b86e6b-6bf8-429e-8263-0e1e25b5b606 ), we saw her boats on the 2008 TYC Boat Show
sandbank: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Grunion/226/24/21 and http://slurl.com/secondlife/Oobilon/107/157/21take a straight east course up to this mark http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pledder/121/28/21.
The lonely sailor may like this http://slurl.com/secondlife/Jibber/248/23/21 but for the rest its the sign to sail up to the north.
no script: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Moldof/135/48/21 but after this there is a friendly rezz place at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Leif/171/38/21 (2hours auto return)
Take a break and do some shoppings or just explore this place a bit. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Leif/232/115/24
After all this was a real nice day-tour, but after this long turn i feel also powered out, so i decide to rest for the night here.
Starting the next day after a long night at the club “The Pirate’s Booty”
Ban-line and no-script on the water in the west: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Erik/217/64/21 so stay in the sim Leif and try to sail to Egill in its north. I asked the owners if they could be so kind to handle their security a bit more sailors friendly. And the friendly owner removed the no-script tag from the water. Thats so nice of him, Thank You! 🙂
So i tried to sail through the channel in the north http://slurl.com/secondlife/Erik/217/51/22 but also here:
beware: the bridge is real low and also the channel is on some places just 2m depth.
Hard conditions for my beloved KnockAbout i choose for this challenge. Will the Naultilus rounding end here? I think about abandon. Horible shocked about my unpromising situation, i stay an other night with The Pirate’s Booty Club and begin to think about the deeper sense of the club’s name. …
I awoke after a sleepless night with the thought of a escape from this sail-in prison.
It looks like i have to leave behind my wonderful Knockabout, if i want to escape from the Pirate’s Booty Club.
This is a real hard decision.
Can i really cede this loyally boat the pirates?
It toke care on me in the rough sea of SL and now i think about to abandon it.

ban-line on water at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Cloz/194/194/21 stay north of this
no-script harbor: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tebbitza/74/127/21 but i crossed it from south-east to north-west
The sim Marachia is sail able even if the cards seam not like.
A high waves at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Marebbe/105/173/21 might be nice for surfers but it nearly sunk my twenty.
Beware if You cross this http://slurl.com/secondlife/Klinger/254/255/21 point, there is a water-ban-line, stay a bit south of that point, but not to much. You will loose Your boat in an other ban-line.
If so, some meters in south-east is a rezzing friendly area http://slurl.com/secondlife/Mulcahy/2/252/30
docked for the night at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hunnicutt/31/236/22
Sim-boarder-surfing at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Marianna/255/256/21 its a pity but no one let room for sailing.
Take this http://slurl.com/secondlife/Jaxipun/144/57/21 course. In the near is a club nice looking, but i don’t like to visit it until its part of the non-sail-able-water-problem.
an other sim-boarder-surfing corner http://slurl.com/secondlife/Slaaash/255/255/21
my most northern part of this route http://slurl.com/secondlife/Castle%20Valeria/35/91/21
I rounded the most north-western headland of Nautilus.
Beware ice-skating penguin on the water Zukovsky/30/213/21
As i sail more straight down to the south, through relaxed water sims, on the horizon my day destination comes in view – the sim Kutze, a beautiful designed sim with a fancy cool club. Even if the owner speaks Japanese and i am not, he seam to be a nice person.
After all this stress and loose of my beloved boat, i am proud that i managed to round more than the half of the Nautilus continent and decided to stop by in the this fancy club LustyFen. Its a sail-friendly sim with a rezz area on the pier.
The night in this relaxed Sim gave me the power back for the next steps of my turn.
Even if i know the route, i also remember all the difficulties i had to find it.
After reading and answering some bottleIMs which reached me on my sailing-trip, i jumped in my faithfully Twen and raise the sails to take a course to the east before going straight to the south.
start-line of the “Far East Yacht Club” at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gogol/14/93/21
continue the course to the south…
toke a south-east course
no-script sim http://slurl.com/secondlife/Troilus/52/197/21 LL was so nice to enable the scripting, thank You LL 🙂
to sail through http://slurl.com/secondlife/Recursion/237/5/21 is a real challenge
at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tyrafoon hold more in the north here are ban-lines on the water
The day goal is the windmill at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Vorlheim There is a rezz friendy gangplank and You may love this well designed mill too.
I will relax a bit for the rest of the tour.
Even if i know that i managed to solve many hard and bad situations, i also see this last and not in the map painted part of this cruise as the most difficult one. …
Please post Your experience if You like.
Take a look at Anu Daviau’s wonderful blogpost, she sailed also the most of this and has made a nice to read german blog post.
Read Ulla Rhodes wonderful logbook of sailing the Nautilus continent counter clockwise called ‘Cruise durch den Norden‘.
